Meet the Panelist

Tegan Woo:

Tegan Woo is the founder of Amoda, a local Vancouver brand carefully crafting blends of matcha, adaptogens and mushroom powders that can be whisked into delicious superfood lattes. Tegan’s love of matcha goes back to 2006 when she started studying the tea ceremony and culture around Japanese matcha. It wasn’t until 2012 that she started studying herbal medicine and the connection between mind, body and mood. What started as her own personal drinkable remedies for stress, turned into a new line of superfood lattes in her business.

Joe Cheng:

Joe Cheng is part-owner and beverage director for Cold Tea Restaurant in Vancouver. He has 10+ years of experience in the food and beverage industry and a diverse background in healthcare and project management. His passion of food and drink was his eventual calling. Joe loves to travel and has missed it dearly since the pandemic.

Margy Yu:

When it was time for Margy Yu to step into the path of entrepreneurship, she knew that this journey was not for the faint of heart. There would be many ups and downs peppered with a heavy dose of personal development.

At first, Margy was unclear on how to merge her expertise and passion with a business. However, with the support of mentors she discovered how to create a business that she loves and allows her unique blend of strategy and intuition to shine through. As a Clinic Management Specialist Margy supports clinic owners by improving patient experiences. On other days, as an Intuitive Coach she supports clients to become the best versions of themselves. Margy believes that making success pleasurable is key and that how you feel about yourself impacts the outcomes of your business.
