How might we mitigate the stressors surrounding affordable housing in the Okanagan Valley?

That’s the question that we invite you to address at the Hacking Housing Hackathon.

Hacking Housing is all about collaboration and ideation. During this full-day event teams will be formed, break down the challenge statement, and then get hacking. Using a Design Thinking process, solutions and prototypes will come alive in a matter of hours. At the end of the day, teams will pitch their ideas to a panel of judges.

Not a coder? Not a problem! You don’t have to be a developer or know how to code to participate. There is no specific expertise needed to join—in fact, the more variety in skill sets and experience, the better! We encourage anyone who wants to learn to create an innovative mindset and build housing solutions to participate.

Hackathon 9 AM – 5 PM

Team Pitches 5 PM – 7:30 PM

• Pitches
• Keynote Address
• Winner Announcement

There is no cost to join and meals are provided to hackathon participants.
