Candice Loring of Mitacs join us for Funding & Support on Thursday, May 5th. Attendee will learn about the funding that you can receive to help cover costs of hiring a paid intern from an academic institution to support your company’s research & development projects, strategic business initiatives and more.
If your business has R&D or business strategy projects, you could be eligible to receive upwards of $7,500 to help cover costs of bringing on a paid intern to do this project work alongside your business. Join to learn more about the application process and eligibility of your business.

About Candice Loring
Candice Loring is a proud member of the Gitwangak Band from the Gitxsan Nation. Candice is passionate about economic development in Indigenous communities, which led her to pursue a degree in Business Management with a minor in psychology from the University of British Columbia Okanagan. Candice is now attending Simon Fraser University pursuing an Executive Master of Business Administration Indigenous Business Leadership degree. Candice now applies her business expertise as a Director of Business Development and Indigenous Community Engagement with Mitacs. In her role at Mitacs Candice is working to advance the Indigenous innovation ecosystem in Canada.
