Land to Table Network Society

Building a thriving, healthy, just, and resilient regional food system

Description

Land to Table is a regionally-based food system network, made up of actors, stakeholders and rightsholders from across our local food system, in the North Okanagan and neighbouring regions. Our network includes: food producers, processors, distributors, retailers, chefs, and consumers, and related groups like government, non-profit organizations, and Indigenous communities.

We believe networks to be an inspiring model for change in response to complex problems, and so our approach includes: co-creating local solutions based on community strengths, assets, and trust-based relationships; and centring support for local small and medium scale farmers – because without them, we have no food security.

Our work focuses on identifying local priorities and collaboration opportunities that aim to: grow our local food economy; increase access to local, nutritious food for all; increase food system resilience; support regenerative practices across foodlands and waterways; and decolonize our food system.
