About The Social Media Content Creator Role  

We are seeking a highly motivated and creative employee to join our Kelowna team. This is a full-time permanent role. The Social Media Content Creator is responsible for creating (capturing and editing) all photo and video content across brands, planning and posting social content, and engaging with our online community.

The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, can pivot quickly, and is highly creative and organized. The Social Media Content Creator will work closely with the Marketing Manager to deliver on strategic priorities, bringing ideas to life through visual storytelling, to help reach our business goals.

This role will involve a combination of in-person office work and remote work. Our office is located in West Kelowna; candidates interested in this role must be located in Kelowna (or surrounding area) or be willing to relocate, and must have a vehicle.

In this role you will be expected to: 

• Capture, create, and edit highly engaging video and photography content for our fast-growing brand.
• Photograph using a DSLR and edit using Adobe Lightroom (additional training is available).
• Assist with social media engagement.
• Create basic graphics using Canva.
• Collaborate with the team and provide hands-on support as needed with cooking and lifestyle content production.
• Actively seek ways to gain knowledge and insights about digital and social trends and consistently translate that knowledge into engaging content.

You will need to have: 

• A passion for food and cooking.
• Experience capturing video and photography.
• Great communication skills.
• Marketing or social media background and/or related experience relevant to this position.
• An organized, enthusiastic, hard-working work ethic with a “not above any task” attitude.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to prioritize multiple tasks to meet deadlines.
• Exceptional organization and time management skills.

Special consideration will be given if you have:  

• Professional videography and/or photography experience.
• Professional cooking experience.
• Graphic design experience.
• Experience with the following: Canva, Splice or CapCut, Adobe Lightroom, Planoly, MailChimp, Monday.com, Hubspot, and WordPress.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a related field.

Compensation:

$55-60,000/year plus discretionary performance-based bonus opportunities.
