The position could also be fully remote with working in BC or Alberta. 

RESPONSIBILITIES

As Product Manager, you will bring your experience and expertise to support our scrum teams in building and refining our processes. Working closely with our CTO and Tech Lead in engaging with our end users to create user stories for the team to help facilitate and guide the product requirements. You have 5+ years experience working in an agile environment with a technical background and product development knowledge. You are someone who provides inspiration and can firmly guide and lead incredible teams. Someone who can develop and implement documented systems, processes, success metrics and reporting frameworks to ensure clear program and product management.

Is this you? Are you bold, have experience in early stages of product development with a mix of start up technical experience in smaller companies? Have you also worked in a developed company and understand the processes that guide them. Then we want to talk to you…….ASAP!

The MIST project is our core product developed through the Innovation for Defence Excellence and Security (IDEaS) program and is key to our success. In order to support the core product, we are looking for the following.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Minimum 5 years of industry experience with product management.
• Technical background in the software world.
• Experience with collaborating end users.
• Not afraid to assert yourself when needed.
• Provide leadership and guidance to the teams.
• Scrum & Agile knowledge.
• A passion for tech and an interest in machine learning & AI.
• Experience working with small teams.
• Domain Curiousity: The willingness to learn a new domain.
• For soft skills we would like to find someone who is adaptable, creative, multidisciplinary, self-directed.
• Bonus: Familiar in the AI space
• Bonus: Domain experience in the defence world would be a huge asset but not necessary.

REQUIREMENTS

For High Level Security Clearance Application (Necessary for Employment with Terra Sense)

• Canadian Citizen or Permanent Resident of Canada.
• Have lived in Canada for the last 10 years, AND must disclose any stays out of the country longer than 6 consecutive months.
• Dual citizenship must be disclosed to hiring manager.

COMPENSATION

• $120,000 – $140,000
• “Okanagan Relocation Top Up”
  • In-Office/Hybrid employees are eligible to receive a 10% top up paid quarterly.
• 5 weeks flexible paid vacation PLUS additional 1 week paid off during the Christmas holiday season. A total of 6 weeks paid vacation!
