Patio Date App Inc. is a dynamic startup revolutionizing the dating app experience for university students in British Columbia. We are seeking an innovative and strategic Chief Technology Officer (CTO) to join our passionate team.

Position Overview:

As the CTO, you will be at the forefront of shaping the technological landscape of Patio Date. We offer an exciting opportunity with equity-based compensation, aligning your success with the growth and success of the company. Please note that at this stage, there is no funding available for a salary, and compensation will be solely based on equity in the company. We have a prototype of the app that will shortly be ready for deployment onto iOS and Android, and a waitlist of 800 university students eager to use the app upon release.

Responsibilities:

1. Tech Strategy: Develop and execute a robust technology strategy aligning with business goals.
2. Product Development: Lead the development of new features, ensuring a seamless user experience.
3. Infrastructure Management: Oversee technical infrastructure, including AWS setup and ongoing optimization.
4. Team Leadership: Build and manage a skilled development team, fostering a culture of innovation.
5. Security and Compliance: Implement and maintain robust security measures and ensure compliance.

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a CTO or a senior technology role in a startup environment.
• Expertise in app development, react native, AWS, and scalable infrastructure.
• Strong leadership and team-building skills.
