WHAT YOU’LL DO…
We are looking for an Accountant who will support the operations and reporting requirements of the accounting functions within the Finance team. This role is responsible for processing daily transactions and handling accounts functions, ensuring payroll is processed and providing general support to the Accounting and Finance Team.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Process and distribute invoices daily for customer shipments.
  • Receiving, recording and depositing customer payments.
  • Follow up with customers as required to ensure timely collections.
  • Process of bi-weekly employee pay for all entities (CAD and outside Canada).
  • Review & manage annual T4 corrections and processing.
  • Prepare quarterly WCB and EHT calculations and filing requirements.
  • Calculate & record sales commissions.
  • Review & verification of banking transactions.
  • Review & verification of monthly lead sheets as relates to payroll or accounts
    receivable.
  • Complete all month-end journal entries.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Proven work experience in Accounts Receivable, Payroll or similar roles.
  • Experience with fully integrated accounting software (Sage, Simply, Quickbooks, etc.).
  • Post-secondary diploma or degree preferred in Payroll.
  • General knowledge of Canadian employment law.
  • General bookkeeping experience preferred.

OTHER INFORMATION:

  • This is an onsite position located in Kelowna, BC. (805 Crowley Ave, Kelowna)
  • This position works Monday to Friday, 8-hour days.
