The BIG Connect- Content planning for the holidays

Content planning is the structure by which your company determines which content initiatives to execute and when. It’s all about processes and workflows.

Welcome to the BIG Connect where meaningful business chats connect you to your customer and community. Through a series of workshops at the Innovation Centre launching this fall, Jenna Robins from Trilogy Solutions and Kate Watson from SAEDS, will co-host a series of workshops designed to help your business better understand the digital landscape.

This event has 2 ticket selections. In Person and Online. There are 20 seats for the in person event and an online option if you can’t make it in or don’t feel comfortable. No one will be turned away, but it is first come first served for the in house event.

Jenna and Kate using over 20 years of marketing and business experience want to help share how you can use social media to your advantage. The BIG Connect program will help you better use the platforms you are already on, deliver pro hacks on how to get more engagement, followers and likes on your posts, and how to use useful online tools like Canva from top professionals in the business. The BIG connect is sponsored by SAEDS and is a combination of free and paid workshops, at a reduced rate to the students, helping all businesses gain the knowledge and momentum to thrive in the online world. “Whether you are a brick-and-mortar small scale business or aspiring to take over the world with your product or service, you need to be online to connect to your customers” says Kate Watson, Marketing Coordinator at SAEDS. “I wanted to design a way where businesses could learn about their digital presence and have time to connect with other businesses in the community while they were at it, and that is how the BIG connect was born!”. Together with Jenna Robins, CEO and Owner of Trilogy Solutions, a Canadian website design, development, management and hosting company working primarily with small- to medium-sized businesses across a variety of industries. “I’m thrilled to be partnering with SAEDS to provide hands-on learning opportunities to local businesses!” Says Jenna.

The BIG Connect will be held in person and online with zoom to fit your comfort level and make sure everyone who wants to learn can. Our third session will be held at the Innovation Centre, 220 Shuswap Street NE, on October 17 from 6-8pm. This free workshop will start with a quick introduction, followed by an hour session on a content creation. We will unpack content planning, share best practices, pro tips on how better to set up your schedule, AIDA marketing funnel, platformsand more. After a Q&A everyone in house will enjoy food, and network with their fellow business owners. The design of this program is not only to teach you how to connect with your customers, but also to connect our business neighbors and make meaningful relationships within our business community. No one will be turned away from attending these workshops, but there are only 20 seats per session for in person attendance. These are first to sign up gets a seat, everyone else will be given a zoom link to join in the workshop.
