Startup Funding: Intro to Angel Investment

24 November 2022 @ 10:30 am - 4:00 pm

How should you fund the growth of your startup? What does the path of angel investment look like? How do you get started as an angel investor?

Whether you’re an entrepreneur looking to fund the growth of your venture, or you’re an individual considering entering the world of angel capital as an investor, you’re probably curious about what is involved in the process and how to know if it is the right fit for you.

That’s why we are providing startup entrepreneurs and potential investors an opportunity to learn about the investment landscape in Canada with this full-day training session. Danielle Brewin Graham, Co-Founder of The Firehood & General Partner of Phoenix Fire, will facilitate the day. Danielle will dive into topics like:

  • Which funding sources are best based on the stage and needs of your company
  • Key questions to ask yourself before you start raising capital
  • What investors are looking for in a startup
  • The path to securing angel investment
  • Expectations of your investors

We’ll end the day with an engaging keynote and discussion from Pierre Cléroux. Pierre is the Vice President, Research and Chief Economist at BDC. He will provide insights on the Canadian economy, specifically related to the tech and innovation industry.
