In this interactive session, you will participate in group discussions and  exercises to develop the confidence and skills to promote yourself  effectively. During the 90 min #IamRemarkable workshop we will:

• Share data and research regarding self promotion and unconscious bias
• Go through the main exercise to help you articulate your  achievements and practice self promotion
• Have a discussion and share take home exercises

Speaker Bios

Kristin Ward Diaz, #IamRemarkable Certified Volunteer Facilitator

Kristin joined the Government of Alberta in 2012. She has deep experience with nonprofit sector capacity building, public engagement and facilitation from her time with the Community Development Unit in the Ministry of Culture.  She is particularly proud of supporting the launch of the   Charitable Giving Matching Donation Program that leveraged 7 million dollars   in charitable donations to support struggling Albertans impacted by the   COVID-19 pandemic in 2020. She recently completed a six month  secondment at Alberta Health Emergency Operations Centre in the Stakeholder Relations Section and in July 2021 she achieved a career milestone when she   was appointed to a Director role with the Government of Alberta.

Kristin grew up on a mixed farm in west central Saskatchewan, is a first generation professional, is mom to 4 year old Mateo and her partner hails from Guatemala.   Kristin’s superstar strengths include program and policy design, facilitation, inclusive community development, stakeholder and public engagement. She helps organizations and people see possibilities, and enjoys mentoring and supporting women and underrepresented groups across all levels of public service to reach their full potential.  Kristin speaks Spanish, holds a Master’s degree in Public Administration and is an active #IamRemarkable facilitator.
