The investors have voted. The results are in. Let’s meet our finalists!
We are thrilled to announce the top 6 finalists who will be pitching at the OKGN Angel Summit Finale on March 12th. The Finale is the culmination of a 10-week program that seeks to train new angel investors in the Okanagan and improve access to capital for growing companies.
This year, 35 investors are participating, creating a $155K investment fund. Over the last month and a half, the investors have been reviewing, evaluating, doing due diligence with the 45 participating companies and have narrowed the list down to the top 6.
“These 35 investors face a really difficult challenge in choosing a winner at this year’s summit,” says Thuy Tran, Programs Manager at Accelerate Okanagan. “All 6 finalists are strong candidates with varying business models but only one company will take home the $155K investment.”
On March 12th, these founders will give a 10-minute public pitch followed by 5 mins of Q&A with the investors. This is their final chance to tell the investors why their company deserves the fund and what they will do with the investment. It’s like Dragons’ Den meets American Idol!

Win or lose, founders participating in the Summit have an incredible opportunity to build personal connections with investors, industry experts, and mentors. In 2019, the inaugural Summit raised a total of $130K fund and was also the catalyst for more than $4M in committed investments for multiple participating companies.
