Back to the Future at NYKO 2023

On January 12, 2023, we hosted the 10th Annual New Year Kick Off event after a 2 year hiatus. For some of us the past couple of years have felt like a time warp, so this year we headed Back to the Future at this time travel inspired event. One thing we learned is that in person connections are invaluable, and that was proven again as over 300 members of the OKGNtech community came together to reconnect, celebrate, and make lasting memories. 

The energy in BNA was electric as our community showed up in their best retro attire to enjoy an evening of dancing, unlimited lane time, model moments, custom cocktails, and diner delights!

Let’s take the DeLorean back in time to relive the magic.

#VIP STATUS

This year’s event kicked off with a VIP Hour that welcomed NYKO sponsors and the investors and companies participating in the 2023 OKGN Angel Summit. Lead investor, Scott MacFarlane, announced a cheque size of $200K that will be invested into one company at the finale on March 16.

EAT, DRINK, BOWL THE NIGHT AWAY

Throughout the night, the BNA team served up an array of 50’s diner favorites to keep us fueled for the dancefloor, while WTfast kept guests hydrated with their signature cocktail the WTflux. On the second floor, attendees could trade in their dancing shoes for bowling shoes and hit the lanes for some friendly competition.

TIME WARP PORTRAIT STUDIO

Attendees could warp through time in our custom built portrait studio sponsored by Kimmit Wrzesniewski, and capture lasting memories for the future.

This event wouldn’t have been possible without the support of our amazing sponsors.
