Dickinson, a legend in the Canadian business world, is the General Partner of District Ventures Capital—a fund focused on helping to market, fund, and grow entrepreneurs in the food and health space. She will take to the virtual stage and speak candidly about her entrepreneurial journey and reveal everything you need to know—and do—to start, run, and grow a great business.
On stage, she displays a palpable and infectious belief in the entrepreneurial spirit; she’ll remind us of the major contributions Canadians have made to international business and the entrepreneurial tradition. Audience members will be given an opportunity to ask Dickinson questions during the Q&A.

The Summit Finale is the culmination of a 10-week program that seeks to train new angel investors and entrepreneurs on the investment process, while also working to improve access to capital for growing businesses. The 29 participating investors have already been busy evaluating the companies since the beginning of January. They have refined the list from over 40 applicants to the top 24. These 24 companies have participated in the quarter-finals, where they delivered a 3-minute quick-pitch to the group of investors, looking to make it into the top 12. Investments and dragons aside, the OKGN Angel Summit Finale on March 18 is all about celebrating community and strengthening connections in the BC startup ecosystem. The Summit Finale will be hosted on Remo, a virtual networking platform, that allows for attendees to move around the venue, gather with friends in small groups, and chat one on one with other guests.
