Web Application Developer

Dvele

Description

Dvele is looking for a Web Application Developer to join our Penticton, BC office and help develop the future of the smart home, from inception to lifetime ownership. Come help us build the future of the software defined home and the technology platform that enables their design and production.

Candidate Profile:

Experience with Python, React JS, React Native, HTML5, CSS3, Javascript, Bootstrap and Git. Experience with home automation, using APIs, spreadsheet management, AWS IoT, MQTT and Z-Wave would be a huge bonus.

The successful candidate will have:

  • Experience building web applications
  • The ability and interest to learn backend, frontend and on-prem (in home) systems
  • An understanding of modern technology stacks – we currently use Python/Django & React. Experience with these stacks is a huge plus
  • Knowledge of Python, React JS/Native, HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, Git
  • Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail and the ability to multi-task
  • Excellent communication skills and a strong team contributor
  • Ability to learn and adapt to new technologies

In this role you will:

  • Be supported by your team, while growing your personal expertise and improving our systems with regular feedback and code reviews
  • Learn new technologies and methodologies, such as app development, database management, API integration, home automation
  • Keep up to date on current standards and technologies, and taking part in brainstorming sessions to find better solutions to existing problems
