Does it light you up to galvanize a team to strive for a common objective?  Are you great at managing all the small details that are often overlooked?  The mission of the Shop Supervisor is to coordinate the people, activities and processes of Pela Case at our Kelowna Sustainability Studio(KSS).  We are solution-focused, energized by efficiency and inspired by initiative.

The Responsibilities: 

  • Supervise the daily activities at Pela Case’s Kelowna Sustainability Studio so that resources are trained and in place as determined by each functional area.
  • Assist KSS staff with administrative issues.
  • Supervise and work with the fulfillment team in warehouse operations at the KSS.
  • Participate in the management of human resources by assisting in hiring, onboarding and coordinating the training or development needs for KSS members.
  • Work with other leads to ensure team communications are thorough and collaborative.
  • Coordinate staff schedules for the production, print and fulfillment teams enabling cross

training and optimization of the resources

  • Administration and execute projects. Assist with wholesale and custom order aquisition and fulfillment. Coordinate outbound orders with a focus on the special needs of wholesale and custom orders.
  • Participate in Operations meetings, representing the interests of the KSS Fulfillment team.
  • Be the communicator who galvanizes team members in pursuit of our objectives.  Organize team building activities.
  • Participate in the optimization of production processes. Monitor production queues and order statuses
  • Help administer production by printing sheets, box labels and sku stickers.  Assist in the creation and receipt of production PO’s.
  • Coordinate & maintain the shop’s cleanliness. Monitor and replenish shop supplies.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and safety standards procedures.
  • Champion continuous improvement in operational activities.

 

Qualifications & Skills:

  • 2-5 years experience supervising warehouse or manufacturing operations
  • Competence with the Google Suite of products
  • Experience using ShipHero and NetSuite or other shipping software and ERP systems
  • Experience hiring & managing a team in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent communication and team-building skills, written and verbal
  • Ability to coordinate and administer multiple systems
  • Administration of internal projects and outbound orders
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Committed to ensuring quality, safety and outstanding results

Salary: $50,000-$60,000 /year
