We’re looking for an experienced and proactive Sr. Marketing Project & Account Manager to join our Client Success team in a role split between overseeing, strategizing with, and developing our Project/Account Managers as well as keeping their feet wet by managing a subset of client accounts. As the main point of contact for a portfolio of clients, you’ll be responsible for building strong and trusting relationships and ensuring that strategic marketing initiatives are successfully delivered. We’re looking for someone with a strategic mindset, creativity, and attention to detail, who can lead and empower a diverse team of skilled professionals, collaborating with them to ensure that projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standards.
The Senior Project & Account Strategist plays a pivotal role in strategizing, managing, and carrying out multiple projects of varying size and complexity. You’ll interact with clients while helping to lead the internal team, ensuring the successful execution of projects from start to finish. Our ideal candidate will be multi-faceted, showcasing the ability to handle diverse and complex marketing initiatives simultaneously.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities
The primary functions include, but are not limited to, the following:
Project & Account Management (40% of Role)
- Collaborate with clients and teams to outline project objectives, requirements, and deliverables, ensuring clear understanding.
- Create detailed project plans, budgets, and timelines, allocating resources effectively for successful execution.
- Manage client marketing projects from onboarding to reporting with an eye to offer and upsell services where applicable
- Act as the primary client liaison, providing regular updates, managing expectations, and incorporating feedback.
- Conduct productive meetings to discuss progress, challenges, and next steps, both internally and with clients.
- Prioritize tasks and manage the team’s workload to optimize productivity.
- Proactively identify and mitigate potential project risks, implementing risk reduction strategies.
- Monitor project budgets and expenses, ensuring adherence to financial parameters.
- Implement quality control processes to meet company standards and exceed client expectations.
- Optimize resource allocation to enhance team productivity and project efficiency.
- Analyze project performance, generate insights, and present recommendations to clients and leaders.
- Drive continuous improvement by proposing researching trends and best practices and refining internal processes for enhanced outcomes.
- Identify opportunities for upselling or expanding the scope of projects with prospective and existing clients.
Team Management & Accountability (60% of Role)
- Provide strategic leadership to the department through planning, goal setting, allocating resources, recruiting and retaining team members, reporting, and budget oversight.
- Lead strategic meetings and presentations, providing insights to project teams and clients, aligning with shared goals.
- Participate in Executive Team activities, contributing updates, insights, and strategic direction to the department.
- Foster strong relationships across teams, promoting collaboration and communication for exceptional customer service.
- Regularly share status reports with the team, ensuring alignment and transparency.
- Define roles and responsibilities, motivate team members to achieve project goals, and inspire a positive work environment.
- Conduct training sessions for junior team members, enhancing their skills and knowledge.
- Work closely with various stakeholders to provide strategic recommendations for omnichannel account improvement.
- Foster teamwork through training, knowledge sharing, and assisting team members on projects and clients.
- Conduct regular 1:1 check-ins and Performance Reviews, offering guidance and mentorship.
- Identify and communicate industry trends, opportunities, and risks to keep the team informed and prepared.
Job Requirements: Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
Minimum Qualifications
- Minimum 3-5 years of proven experience as a project manager, account manager, or similar role, preferably in a marketing agency environment.
- Bachelor’s Degree or diploma in Marketing, Business, Project Management, or Communications is an asset.
- Project Management Professional Certification is preferred.
- Any equivalent combination of education and professional experience
- Strong background and understanding of marketing strategies and tactics including Brand Development, Graphic Design, Website Development, Content Marketing, Conversion Rate Optimization (CRO), Search Engine Marketing (SEM/PPC), Search Engine Optimization (SEO), Social Media Management, (SMM), Email Automation & Marketing, market research methods, etc.
- Knowledge of industry-specific software and tools (experience with project management software such as Asana, CRM systems such as ActiveCampaign, Hubspot, Salesforce etc., or similar is preferred)
- Familiar with building websites in WordPress and page builder plugin capability
- Proficient computer skills, especially with Google Suite and Microsoft Office
- Familiarity with HTML, CSS, and Adobe Creative Suite.
- Digital Marketer or Hubspot Certification is considered an asset.
- Google Certifications such as Google Analytics is considered an asset.
- Must be eligible to work in Canada (permanent Canadian resident or a valid working permit or visa)
- Ability to work at our Main Office in Kelowna, BC with flexibility to work from home part-time.

Position Details
- Job Title: Senior Project & Account Strategist
- Reports To: Josh Byron, General Manager
- Department: Client Services
- Start Date: As soon as possible
- Position: Full-Time (40 hours/week), Salaried, Permanent
- Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:30 am to 5:00 pm PDT
- Location: Hybrid – Primarily in-office in Kelowna, B.C., with the flexibility to work from home 1-2 days per week.
- Fully remote (in BC or Alberta) may be considered for the right candidate
- Compensation: Base Salary: $78,000 – $96,000/year
- Commensurate with experience
- Vacation: 6% Vacation Accrual
- Approximately 3 weeks of paid vacation per year for full-time employees, eligible to be used after one year of employment
- Existing/Prospective Client Meal & Entertainment Allowance: $250.00/month
- Group Benefits: Employees who maintain a minimum of 20 hours of work per week for 3 months and after successful completion of the probationary period will be eligible for group benefits.
