Cybird, a cybersecurity company in Okanagan, is seeking a dynamic Sales Representative to join our team. Our innovative solutions are designed to protect and secure the digital landscape of small businesses and families. With a focus on cutting-edge technology and customer service, we are dedicated to helping our clients navigate the complexities of cybersecurity. As part of our expansion, we are looking for a motivated individual to help us grow our presence in the Okanagan region.

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Conduct in-person visits to schools, engaging with principals and educators to introduce and demonstrate Cybird’s cybersecurity solutions. This includes conducting short 20-minute training sessions for students and parents on cybersecurity basics.
  • Visit IT services companies to present and demo Cybird’s offerings, highlighting the benefits and value of our solutions.
  • Utilize your sales experience to effectively manage and grow the sales pipeline, ensuring targets are met or exceeded.
  • Leverage your public speaking skills to engage and educate a variety of audiences, from students to business professionals.
  • Work collaboratively with the founding teams to develop strategies and materials that enhance Cybird’s market presence.
  • Provide feedback from the field to help refine and improve our product offerings and sales approach.

Qualifications:

  • 0-3 years of sales experience, preferably within the internet/technology field.
  • Strong public speaking skills with the ability to engage and educate diverse audiences.
  • Proven track record of achieving sales targets and effectively managing a sales pipeline.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build relationships with clients and partners.
  • Willingness to travel within the Okanagan region for in-person meetings and presentations.
  • A passion for technology, with a commitment to continuous learning and professional development.

Work Location:

  • This position is primarily remote, allowing the flexibility to work from the comfort of your own home.
  • There may be a requirement to visit our office in Kelowna 1-2 times a week for team meetings, training sessions, or as needed for specific project collaborations.
  • Candidates must be based in or willing to relocate to the Okanagan region to accommodate office visits and in-person engagements as required.

Application Deadline: 1st May 2024

Location: Kelowna-based candidates will take preference.

Salary: $19-$22/hour + commission

Term: 8-month fixed term contract with possible extension based on performance.

Start Date: As soon as the right candidate is found. Note that this role is partially government-funded, so the successful candidate must meet the eligibility criteria for the funding program.

  • Possession of a reliable car and a valid Class 5 driver’s license for travel around the Okanagan region.
