About Sad Panda Studios
Sad Panda Studios was started 8 years ago by three friends who wanted to build fun and flirty video games. Crush Crush, their first game, has been played by more than 10 million people, and is available on many different platforms including Steam, Nintendo, Mobile and Web. Sad Panda Studios is expanding its portfolio with several games in development and is excited to continue to grow the video game industry in the Okanagan.
We are really proud of the games we make and the people (Pandas) who help make them. All of our Pandas uphold the same quality, creativity, innovation, and integrity that our company was founded on. We are committed to being a professional environment where courtesy, trust, kindness and respect are the norm.
About The Role
The QA Tester portion of the role is responsible for maintaining and following a test procedure prior to every game update. You will serve as the first defense against bugs and regressions introduced into the game, while also ensuring that new features are properly tested. Also, you will make suggestions on how to fix bugs and improve the reliability of game systems.
Sad Panda Studios prides itself on responding to every customer support ticket in a timely manner. The Support Representative portion of the role will respond to customer support emails in a professional and courteous manner, as well as offer possible solutions to bugs and other issues that our customers are experiencing.
Our ideal candidate is competent in both written and spoken English, loves to make lists and revels in following those lists to the letter, and desires to reliably and consistently test every aspect of a game to ensure a bug free deployment. Any prior QA or Customer Support experience (especially in the games industry) is an asset, as is familiarity with bug-tracking software like Jira.
