The Role

AO is looking for a passionate and experienced individual to implement and manage our Scale Up entrepreneurship programs. The Scale Up Program Lead will work with OKGNtech entrepreneurs that are scaling their companies to give them support and tools that better enable them to build strong sustainable businesses. The successful individual will have a passion for entrepreneurship, a desire to help others, and have experience implementing mentorship programs.

The Scale Up Program Lead will work directly with and report to our Programs Manager.


Key Functions:

Client Success  

  • Iterating on program processes and content based on feedback and learnings
  • Reporting on program outcomes and effectiveness
  • Be a liaison for the clients, connecting to resources and intros when needed
  • Conducting regular check-ins with clients and distilling feedback to share with involved stakeholders
  • Conducting surveys and interviews with current and exiting clients
  • Collect programs metrics

Business Development 

  • Attending networking and community events
  • Prospecting: using a mix of inbound and outbound sales methods
  • Relationship building and nurturing leads
  • Relationship building with supporting organizations

Relationship building with partners

  • Represent AO as a champion/advocate in the community
  • Engaging companies through the complete sales cycle including prospecting, qualifying leads, closing, and collecting referrals

Program Coordination & Management  

  • Onboarding: coordinating contracts, scope of work, payment schedules
  • Coordinating the day-to-day with current clients and Executive in Residences. Ex. Logistics, communication, support
  • Intake, onboarding, and offboarding
  • Coordinating/managing & delivering curriculum
  • Coordinating partners and supporters
  • Implementing and managing program processes
  • Leading Scale Up EiR meetings

Special Projects 

  • Coordinating/managing various aspects of special projects such as research initiatives, events, conferences and training workshops including the logistics, communication, vendors etc

Skills & Experience:

  • Experience with curriculum design, development, and implementation
  • Sales experience
  • Business, entrepreneurship, or related experience


  • Uses clear, concise and considered language in written and oral communication
  • Active communication skills including persuasion, influence, negotiation, and facilitation
  • Uses active listening and curiosity

Organization & Prioritization

  • Foresees problems and solves them proactively
  • Ability to switch effectively between people and task-based requests/demands
  • Able to assess levels of importance and urgency and decide on a course of action
  • Ability to troubleshoot in a timely manner

Self Management

  • Ability to balance a variety of projects, team needs and tasks simultaneously
  • Works calmly under pressure of a rapidly changing environment


  • Ability to follow up/through with requests, feedback and tasks
  • Ability to report on and/or analyze outcomes
  • Ability to hold self to objectives

Relationship Management

  • Able to develop meaningful relationships both internally and externally
