KXI Wildertec is seeking an experienced professional to assist in conducting test drives of a proprietary vehicle technology on a custom built off road test course, roads and trails. As we develop new off road vehicle capabilities, rigorous systematic and repetitive testing is crucial to our success. This role will involve following stringent protocols and procedures while test driving advanced prototype 4×4 vehicles (class 3-5) on our predefined and authorized routes primarily in West Kelowna.


  • Test drive advanced prototype vehicles on defined routes.
  • Drive the test track according to provided routes for each day of testing. Routes will be repetitive but there will be a variety of terrain and requirements for each day of testing 
  • Successfully complete test routes following exact route paths, under strict speed limits and using appropriate levels of caution and direction
  • Perform test driving approximately 2-5 days per week, due to occasional interruptions in vehicle availability and weather conditions. Availability on weekends is considered an advantage. Many weeks up to 5 days are expected
  • Conduct data input pre and post-test route for driver feedback and information
  • Complete visual mechanical inspection and system ready checks prior to commencing test drives
  • Complete and confirm the security and storage of the vehicle after each test session
  • Capture cab video and audio, as well as exterior 360 video during all tests
  • Upload all video footage at the end of each test day and ensure all test run log data is transferred successfully 
  • Full compensation is tied to success in following all correct procedures 


  • Responsible and trustworthy 
  • Flexible work schedule. There will be some weeks that are busier than others. It’s possible some weeks will have no driving but we expect up to 5 drive days per week 
  • Availability to perform this role until at least October 2024, with future opportunities to perform additional testing as new versions of the technology are developed 
  • Valid Class 5 driver’s license, Class 1 and 3 is considered a bonus
  • Minimum of 10 years of driving experience.
  • Clean driving record. A drivers abstract will be requested upon interview
  • Safety-oriented mindset; not thrill-seeking.
  • Positive attitude and strong communication skills.
  • Ability to perform some computer and technical data entry tasks.
  • Must sign a non-disclosure agreement
  • Willingness to undergo a criminal record check and driving record check.
  • Mechanically inclined 
  • Preferred: Experience with trailers and ability to drive and park trailers when required 
  • Preferred: Any type of outdoor or wilderness driving experience 
  • Preferred: Any offroad/resource road driving experience
  • Preferred: Any vehicle to vehicle or self recovery experience
  • Ideal candidate has a flexible work schedule – availability should range from 2-5 days in a given week, with many weeks requiring 5 days of testing. They also would have offroad and/or work truck driving experience and can do basic automotive maintenance and some small repair work

Additional Information:

  • Opportunities for occasional driving assignments in other locations may arise, but are not mandatory.
  • Compensation for additional projects/events will be established on a flat or hourly rate basis.
  • Successful candidates must be comfortable with data input and video/audio capture requirements.
  • Opportunities for occasional non driving shop, equipment or course help. 


  • $200 per successful completion of test routes (~6-8 hours per day), with partial payments possible for incomplete or invalid test plans depending on circumstances. Paid out monthly
