Description

The IT Systems/Network Administrator reports to the IT Manager. The incumbent will work closely with the IT Manager to build, maintain and enhance critical infrastructure, networks and systems to meet FNFA’s business objectives. This position is responsible for delivering the best possible experience for users working in a hybrid environment.

The IT Systems/Network Administrator investigates technical issues, identifies the root cause, and produces detailed plans outlining proposed solutions. The incumbent will play a pivotal role in the advancement of technology by ensuring high reliability and scalable systems that position the organization to grow. In the absence of the IT Manager, the incumbent act as the backup. This position may require travel, if deemed necessary.

 

Role responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  1. Configure and manage a diverse range of on-premises and cloud-based systems in a pre-dominantly Microsoft 365 technology environment:
    • Manage Office 365 user accounts (Office 365 configuration, License provisioning, Applications assignment).
    • Expertly manage, configure, and maintain Domain Controllers, Windows Servers, Active Directory, Office 365, SharePoint, Intune.
    • Configure, deploy, and manage group policies across devices and servers.
    • Configure and manage LAN, wireless network, printers, firewall and networking devices.
  2. Deploy and manage remote monitoring and management tool.
  3. Manage permissions and access to meet security best practices.
  4. Ensure applications and systems are always secure and patched, set up backup systems, and manage and monitor end-point security protection.
  5. Act as an escalation point for the IT team.
  6. Inventory and install hardware, software and peripherals.
  7. Collect, organize and maintain technical knowledgebase for use by other team members and end users.
  8. Perform other duties as required

 

Who Can Apply:

  • Degree or Diploma in Computer Science or Information Technology.
  • Knowledge of current cloud technologies (e.g., Microsoft Azure, G Suite Enterprise, Identity Providers) AWS Certified Solutions Architect Associate, MCSA, MCSE, CCNA, CompTIA’s A+ Certification an asset.
  • 3+ years of experience architecting, provisioning and administrating the following:
    • O365 office productivity systems (Exchange, Outlook, Excel, SharePoint, Teams, etc.).
    • Windows PC and Server products (Active Directory, Group Policy Management, Print Servers, DHCP, DNS and other Microsoft services).
    • Security provision and patching (Microsoft Defender, ATP, Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager/SCCM, Intune, AutoPilot, RMM tools, etc.).
    • Windows AD, Azure AAD, MFA (User provisioning, managing group policy, etc.).
    • Monitor Azure Resources, Log Analytics.
    • PowerShell scripting (automate tasks).
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills with an attention to detail.
  • Experience planning, prioritizing and executing projects with competing timelines.
  • Strong written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Self-motivated team player, willing to take initiative.
  • Professional, responsive, and positive work attitude is essential.
  • Experience using WordPress is considered an asset.
  • Be able to lift 11-60 lbs. regularly, including moving and setting up computers and monitors.
  • The ability to work in French or a First Nation language(s) is an asset.
  • Be available for flexible hours as required.

 

Other Job Requirements: FNFA requires proof of COVID-19 vaccination as a condition of employment.

 

Compensation Range: $65,000 – $90,000 Annually

Compensation will be based on experience, training, and the ability to perform key responsibilities of the job.
