The Opportunity

As a member of the management team, the Information Technology Lead is responsible for the firm’s computing needs, including computer systems, related applications, hardware, software, server structure, as well as network, data and cyber security.

Supporting a staff of 90 people, both in-person and remote, you will manage daily IT operations including providing internal IT and technical assistance, testing and troubleshooting, creating domain accounts, doing daily backups, managing inventory and purchasing new equipment as needed. In this role, you are also responsible for the strategic IT planning and for overseeing the annual IT budget and expenditures.

This full-time position, 8:30-4:30 Monday to Friday, located on-site in Vernon, BC. Some after-hours work will be occasionally required. Please note a successful criminal record check will be required for the chosen candidate.

The Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate can seamlessly switch between tech support and strategic thinking in a snap. We are looking for someone experienced with computer networks, network administration, and network installation, as well as managing IT infrastructure and services. Strong communication, organizational, problem solving, and prioritization skills are a must, as well as proficiency in Microsoft Windows software, computer hardware, wireless technology applications and interface, and IT security. Our ideal candidate boasts relevant certifications and a Bachelor’s degree in a related field is appreciated.
