If the answer is yes, we are looking for you! Become an important part of our agile team as a Full-stack Developer and help the City of Kelowna create the digital city of the future. As a Full-stack Developer, you will:

  • Design, develop, and enhance applications to modernize the City’s next generation of systems
  • Leverage the LAMP stack, Docker and Azure to build user focused solutions
  • Integrate and enhance enterprise systems such as the City’s Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP), Revenue and Asset Management Systems
  • Transform digital processes with a focus on automation
  • Stay up to date with current trends and technologies
  • Work independently and as part of an agile team

Qualifications

  • A four-year bachelor’s degree in Computer Science
  • 5+ years’ experience with .NET and LAMP technologies
  • Strong foundation in public cloud (Azure, AWS, Google Cloud) and infrastructure as code (IaC)
  • Ability to identify business and technology goals and objectives of a project, understand business processes, and elicit and recognize business problems to be solved
  • Imaginative, pro-active, and self-motivated work style with proven ability to effectively manage multiple projects and changing priorities
  • Ability to communicate well and often with others to establish effective working relationships, both independently and as part of a team
  • Strong understanding of DevOps and CI/CD
  • Experience with the Power Platform considered an asset
