Director of Production

Our growing and global organization is adding another superstar to our leadership team. This new role, Director of Production, reporting to our VP, Production and Engineering, is a dream job for a business-savvy operations executive, with an impressive career encompassing production, project management, capital project budgeting (we’re talking multi millions and multi years), while also having street cred to roll up your sleeves and ensure flawless execution for all things related to process improvement in a manufacturing context. The MAKR Group consists of three companies with distinct products— Wekid, Waterplay and Parkworks. You work for Wekid, our manufacturing company that bends stainless steel pipes into different shapes, welds, machines, and assembles giant structures that defy gravity to meet the needs of Waterplay’s customers. We connect communities through play and social experiences, and our Production Group is literally the team that creates the products to make dreams come true.

As our newest Director, you’re as talented with people as you are with processes: you comfortably communicate with stakeholders ranging from onboarding new hires to negotiating with vendors. You’re a technophile and your knowledge and enthusiasm for IIOT will elevate, likely even, transform, our production processes, to the benefit of our workforce and our customers. Every decision you make is made with a commitment to safety, focus on ROI and awareness for our customers’ needs.

In this role, you will:

• Lead a team of superbly talented, incredibly committed, and diversely-skilled operations, logistics, warehouse and quality and manufacturing professionals
• Develop and execute a Manufacturing Operations Management program
• Identify, develop, test, communicate and implement process improvements related to speed, quality and cost-containment

If you have at least 10 years of director-level success in a manufacturing environment, have personally led projects to automate processes to gain efficiencies and cost-savings; know your way around ERP systems (we use Visual), we think we could play well together. If your career highlights also include responsibility ranging from capital projects and planning to coaching a team, you have a degree in engineering or a related field, and are the kind of leader that attracts talent, please get in touch.
