Primary Duties & Responsibilities
The primary functions include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Plan, develop, and execute creative content strategies for Sayvee’s clients, encompassing written, visual, and multimedia content.
- Work closely with the Content Marketing Manager, Project/Account Managers and other team members to understand client content needs, objectives, and preferences, ensuring the content produced meets Sayvee Creative standards and client expectations and aligns with their marketing goals.
- Brainstorm and generate innovative content ideas that resonate with the target audience and contribute to the clients’ marketing success.
- Manage the end-to-end content production process, from conceptualization to execution, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to project timelines.
- Uphold and reinforce clients’ brand identities and visual aesthetics in all content created, maintaining consistency across different marketing initiatives.
- Proactively identify challenges and find creative solutions to address them, demonstrating a can-do attitude in overcoming content-related obstacles.
- Foster effective communication and collaboration within the internal team and with clients to ensure smooth workflow and successful project outcomes.
- Participate in client meetings and presentations, showcasing content strategies, discussing ideas, and addressing any queries or concerns.
- Propose suggestions for refinement to enhance existing processes.
Seek prior approval for significant deviations from established procedures before implementation.
- Stay updated with industry trends, content marketing best practices, and emerging technologies to enhance the agency’s content creation capabilities.
- Produce graphic and/or video content including such things as coverage and promotion of events, interviews/profiles, product/service material, promotional videos, digital ads, and B-roll for media
- Run production for on-site photo/video shoots – from pre-production, day-of, and post-production by creating such things as client mood boards, shot lists, etc.
- Coordinate and conduct photoshoots and video shoots, ensuring proper lighting, framing, and composition to capture high-quality visuals.
- Plan and manage short-form video content creation for clients’ social media accounts, websites, b-roll, and other marketing channels.
- Ensure alignment with clients’ brand guidelines and storytelling requirements.
- Edit and enhance visual content using various software tools to ensure a polished and professional final product.
- Maintain and organize photography and videography equipment, ensuring it remains in good working condition.
Social Media Management
- Assist in managing clients’ social media accounts, ensuring timely and consistent content updates.
- Help with scheduling and publishing content across various platforms, including Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, and LinkedIn.
- Provide support with monitoring and responding to social media engagement, comments, and messages on behalf of clients.
- Create captivating and concise copy for social media posts, ensuring the content aligns with the visual elements and brand tone.
- Experience in content creation, photography, videography
- A certificate/degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, Film, Photography, or a related field (graduated or currently attending) is an asset.
- A strong portfolio demonstrating successful content creation projects, including written, visual, and multimedia content.
- Proficiency in photography and videography equipment – procurement, proper use, and maintenance – and techniques – composition, lighting, and post-processing.
- Experience in using various software tools for editing visual content, such as Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Lightroom, Premiere Pro).
- Proven track record in generating innovative content ideas that align with clients’ marketing goals and resonate with target audiences.
- Knowledge of industry-specific software and tools (experience with project management software such as Asana is preferred).
- Proficient computer skills, especially with Google Suite and Microsoft Office.
- Must be eligible to work in Canada (permanent Canadian resident or a valid working permit or visa).
- Valid Driver’s License with a Clean Driver’s Abstract.
- Availability to travel for client projects, when necessary.
- Must have a vehicle with enough space to transport gear.
- Ability to lift or move heavy objects, or stand for long periods of time.

- Position: Permanent, Part-Time (20 hours/week), Hourly
- Schedule: Between Monday to Friday, 8:30 am to 5:00 pm
- Must be available outside regular business hours as required (in exceptional cases)
- Location: Must be based in Kelowna and able to work at our office when needed (1447 Ellis St.)
- Willingness to travel as required for on-site projects and client meetings
- Hybrid work option available
- Compensation: Compensation commensurate with experience
- Wage Rate: Between $22 to $26/hour
- 4% vacation accrual – Approximately 2 weeks of paid vacation per year for full-time employees, eligible to be used after one year of employment
- Vehicle Allowance: $00.60/km when using your own vehicle
- Must have a vehicle with enough space to transport required gear and hold appropriate vehicle insurance
- Group Benefits: Employees who maintain a minimum of 20 hours of work per week for 3 months and after successful completion of the probationary period will be eligible for group benefits.
