Position Summary
Interior Health Network Infrastructure department has an excellent permanent full time opportunity for a new Vocera Support Analyst.
To support the physical equipment and operational needs of Interior Health this position is located at the Kelowna Warehouse (Reid’s Corner) in Kelowna, B.C. and is not suitable for flexible work locations.
Who are we looking for?
A strong candidate will have an understanding of IT in a healthcare environment, and a degree or diploma specializing in computer science.
What will you work on?
The Vocera system provides a hands free voice based communication system that is utilized throughout Interior Health’s Acute and Long Term Care facilities. This system plays an integral role in the delivery of healthcare and its use spans supporting real time communication within and between nearly all IH Acute and LTC clinicians and support staff.
The Vocera Support Analysts job responsibilities are detailed below:
Working alongside our Senior Vocera Administrator and Vocera Technical Analysts this position provides support and training for Vocera users as well as engaging with IH staff and programs to assist with new site deployments and programming/customizations of Vocera features. In addition to interacting with IH staff; processing new hardware, handling warranty issues, maintaining documentation and an internal website are key responsibilities of this position.
The Vocera system is utilized throughout IH. The successful candidate will visit each Vocera site within Interior Health up to twice per year which typically results in overnight travel of approximately one week per month between March-October. There is a degree of flexibility for specific travel dates but to meet operational requirements the candidate must be available for this travel.

Qualifications
Education, Training and Experience:
Graduation from a recognized degree or diploma program in Computer Science plus two years’ recent, related experience or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
Skills and Abilities:
Ability to organize work.
Ability to deal with others effectively.
Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
Ability to operate related equipment.
Physical ability to perform the duties of the position.
